When you sell sex toys, you get used to dealing with people who are very comfortable with the idea of vibrators, and that is unquestionably fun. Over the last several years, it's also been a joy seeing the world change to a place where it's okay to talk in the mainstream about toys. Whether it's the ladies of Sex and the City buying a rabbit, Cameron Diaz in "There's Something About Mary" acknowledging her battery-powered friend, George Clooney with a Liberator Ramp in "Burn After Reading", or this very recent example: Barbara Walters telling Joy Behar on The View that Joy's vibrator is a necessity, rather than a luxury.
Maybe you didn't catch it (got something better to do in the morning?), but apparently the folks over at Morning Joe did, and thought it warranted discussion. However, things turned unpleasant, as Mika Brzezinski became visibly distressed at the very mention of the topic. Watch the story unfold:

I don't know what to make of three men lecturing a women on feminism and vibrators. But it was certainly sad to see poor Mika made so uncomfortable. It made me want to pack up a little vibrator, maybe one of these or these, and send it to her with a little note that it is absolutely okay to please oneself, or to have a loved one do it for you. But I suspect that she would just be disgusted and throw it away, so what would be the point? However, if you would like to send Mika a word of support or encouragement, you can do so here.
