Sex Ed at Frisky U

Since 2005 we have hosted classes in our Durham store. Presented by our own sex educators, they are presented in a lecture format, require no class participation, involve no live demonstrations, and are open to couples or singles of all orientations. Our selection of topics reflect the questions we are asked on a daily basis by our guests, and they are all carefully crafted to provide useful information that you can put into practice immediately in your own sex life.

Our classes are always fun, and we encourage people to bring friends and co-workers and make it part of a great evening out. We also can be booked for private classes for large groups. Please email us at info@friskystore.com or call the store for more information.

Classes for 2012:

Frisky Business Boutique continues our ongoing series of sex ed classes for adventurous adults. All of our programs are great introductions to their respective topics, but with fantastic nitty-gritty info that you will be able to take home and put right to use!

For 2012 we are pleased to be offering eight classes, including some old favorites and some exciting, new topics. All attendees will receive 10% off their purchases the evening of the class. Also, if you purchase tickets for three or more different classes at one time, we are offering $5 off the total cost!

We will cover simple (but effective) ties, positions, communication tools, safety, and a variety of bondage techniques and materials. Attendees will have an opportunity to engage in some hands-on rope work (no partner needed).

Sexual Fitness
Build up the muscles necessary for better performance in the bedroom with a focused exercise program. This class will instruct on the exercises needed to build stamina and strength for better sex. Get in shape to try some of those Kama Sutra positions that always seemed impossible! A Certified Personal Trainer will explain and demonstrate, and there will be an opportunity to perform these exercises yourself, so please wear comfortable clothing. Due to space limitations, this class will be limited to 10 people.

The Five Styles of Dominance Part Two: Putting the Styles into Practice
In this follow-up session to the popular Part One, attendees learn in detail how to apply their knowledge of the Five Styles to many different aspects of relationships. From meeting and negotiating with a potential new partner to addressing conflict and discord in a long-term M/s or D/s relationship, we'll cover how to get below the surface to truly understand the motivations and needs of both yourself and your partner(s). Most important of all, we'll delve deep into the unspoken needs that, if unmet over time, can destroy a M/s or D/s relationship and lead to the relationship shattering phrase "You're just not Dominant(submissive) enough."

Backdoor Adventures: The Secrets Behind Anal Pleasure

This seminar is a beginner’s-level exploration of anal eroticism for both women and men, designed to equip you with the tools and information to make anal play safe and enjoyable for everyone involved.

All classes are presented in our private classroom at our store. Class size is limited, so we do recommend advance ticket purchase. Tickets for classes are available at the store. Attendees will receive a 10% discount on any purchase made the evening of the class. Please arrive on time for your class. Classes are typically an hour and a half to two hours long, though length may vary based on audience enthusiasm!

We do not have a public restroom in the store, so please plan accordingly.

Want a private class?

We offer private classes for groups. If you would like any of the listed programs presented for your group, we would be happy to host you in our private classroom. We can schedule very flexibly, though we request as much advance notice as possible to accommodate your request.

Private classes are $150 for up to 15 people. All attendees will get a 10% discount for any purchases made the day of the class.

About our instructors:

Jace Kerrin, MS, LMBT has been creating and presenting classes for Frisky U since the program’s launch in 2005. Incorporating sexual knowledge courses into the Boutique's offerings has been one of her greatest passions. Jace comes from a background in theater, counseling, and health education. She cut her teeth while working with the National AIDS Hotline, Planned Parenthood, and the Women's Center of Orange County. Jace has been an independent sex educator since 1995. From 2004 until 2009 she also worked at Frisky Business Boutique, where in addition to developing our adult sex ed offerings, she was instrumental in advancing our mission of education, sexual health and greater well-being through working with guests and training staff.

Jace has a master's degree from UNC and a diploma in therapeutic massage from Wake Tech.

Auburn Landry lives in Raleigh, NC with her male submissive partner of over five years, Devon DeLandry. Known for her sensual, erotic and lovingly sadistic style, Auburn enjoys teaching others about healthy power exchange relationships and the sensual art of Female Domination, as well as many other alternative sex topics. Auburn & Devon have presented at national and regional events including Beyond Leather in Florida, Southeast LeatherFest in Atlanta 2009 and 2010, Leather Leadership Conference, TESFest in New Jersey, Winter Solstice in New Jersey, Fetish Fair Flea Market in Charlotte, North Carolina and DomCon Atlanta 2008 and 2009.
